Professor K. Ramachandran is currently Senior Advisor, Unit of International Cooperation, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi. He has been a member of the drafting committee for the National Education Policy 2020. During the period 1990-2008, he worked with UNICEF as Senior Education Specialist and Senior Programme Coordinator. Prior to this (from 1975-1990), he was a member of faculty of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi He has contributed to the preparation of several publications on the state of education in India, including “India: Education for All – Towards Quality with Equity”.
