Academy for Creative Teaching empowers School Leaders with a Landmark Workshop

The Academy for Creative Teaching (ACT), Bangalore, successfully concluded a transformative three-day workshop, “The Lounge, 8th Edition”, designed exclusively for middle-level leaders of schools. The event was held from October 30 to November 1, 2025, at the Hotel President on Kumarakrupa Road.The workshop brought together a diverse group of educators from across South India, with participants travelling from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh to engage in this unique professional development opportunity.
The event featured an illustrious lineup of speakers and trainers who delved into a wide array of contemporary and critical educational modules. The sessions were designed to equip school leaders with the tools needed for modern educational challenges. The workshop included an insightful session by Dr Gururaj Karajagi, Chairman of ACT, Academician, motivational speaker, and an institutional builder, who spoke on the vital theme of “Nurturing Novice Teachers.”
The training sessions were led by a distinguished faculty, including Mr Vivekanandda, Dean of Training, Ms Sheelu Rao, Dean of Academics, Ms Mala Palani, Director of Indus Training Centre, and Ms Mala Ouseph, a renowned trainer, along with other senior ACT faculty members. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering critical areas ranging from “Augmenting AI” in education to the intricacies of “Designing Curricula.”
The valedictory ceremony on November 1st was graced by the presence of Shri Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament, Bangalore South. In his keynote address, Shri Surya underscored the fundamental role of teachers in nation-building. He eloquently stated, “Nation-building begins in the classroom, and teachers are its true architects, shaping the values, character, and potential of every generation.”
The event concluded on a high note, with participants expressing that the workshop had “immensely empowered” them. Educators left feeling reinvigorated and better equipped with advanced strategies and a fresh perspective to lead their teams and inspire their students, thereby strengthening the foundation of the educational ecosystem.
