Teacher Training Course
Academy for Creative Teaching – ACT, for the past 10 years has successfully organized the ‘Finishing School for Teachers-FST’, a three months programme for graduates and B.Ed teacher trainees. The programme has been designed to increase the competency of the teacher trainees to meet the standards expected by quality-conscious primary and secondary schools.
The three-month programme complements the B.Ed programme and enriches the skill, knowledge and attitude of the teacher trainees. The modules for study are Creativity, Mentoring, Life-Skills, Innovation in Education, Classroom management and Creative Teaching of Science, Mathematics, Social Science and English. The teaching methodology focuses on an interactive and learner-centric approach. The learning is facilitated through team teaching, group discussions, research-based presentations and other innovative techniques. Assessment and evaluation is a continuous process through the reflective essay, case study analysis, peer interactions, seminar and report presentations.
The FST programme will be conducted at the ACT office, Bengaluru.
The contact classes would be held every day between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the ACT centres. ACT will also provide placement assistance for all successful candidates.
