The Focus: The Focus: Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. People with strong social-emotional skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically, professionally, and socially.

The focus of the session will be on.

  • Exploring the Social-emotional learning (SEL) and the five competencies of SEL which are Self Awareness, Self-Management, Relationship Management, Social Awareness, and Decision Making.
  • Weaving the Social-emotional learning (SEL) into activities that support math, science, literacy, and motor skills.
  • Role of teachers in planning and implementing Social-emotional learning (SEL in the heart of learning.
